Like all of our programs at The Academy you can study for as long as you wish and start whenever you want.

You do not need to have any pre-existing knowledge to start your course.  We can cater for complete beginners as well as those who have already studied Thangka else where.  All classes are supervised by our Resident Teacher and overseen by our Master Thankga painter,  Lama Lobsang Khedup.

Thangka classes start at 9am through to 12:00 Noon, Monday to Friday.  Saturday and Sunday is Free time to study and paint when you wish.

Lunch is from 1pm to 2pm.

In the afternoons, everyone enrolled on the Thangka course will have two hours of language classes.

You may choose between Tibetan or Chinese, or do one hour of both.  You will be assigned a personal tutor for the duration of your stay at the Academy.

All language classes are one-on-one tuition.
